They're not talking about slavery. It's about hate. It's a hate that is not deserved. It divides family, neighborhoods, nations... even the world. It's not a black/white issue either. People find any difference between each other and use that as an excuse to hate. If taking this flag down shows a little compromise between everyone (minus the few that are being exposed for their hatred), then why is 5his nor a good thing?

Look, I can see where things like this need to be remembered for history. It's very valuable knowledge to have to see the mistakes we have had (and overcame) in the past. But it belongs in something like a history text book, even a museum; not flying at the state office.

As for the flag, what happened to freedom of expression? People can burn, step on Ol' Glory all they want to express hate and are allowed to do that.
