I had pneumonia once, I was sick for almost a week before I went to a doctor, I was at 104 degrees, it was brutal because I was freezing. They gave me fluids and I was fine within a few hours.
Nothing was as bad as when I got mono. Holy shit man, I was pretty much asleep for almost 2 months. What was worse is it was the summer months right after I had graduated high school, so I missed all the parties and shit. Also opted to not goto college during that time because I was asleep during signup.

x3. Caught it in high school. I put a mattress directly on my floor because I didn't have enough energy to climb into bed. That lasted about 10 days and I gradually felt better. It was well over a month of misery though along with blood work every week.Originally posted by Baron Von Crowder View PostMono for me too, that really sucked for a while.

Yep. I didn't know it was West Nile until a couple of months later when the Tarrant County Health Department called and told me and then asked me 100 questions about where I'd been, symptoms, etc.Originally posted by Frank View PostNo shit? I had a former boss die of West Nile. They just thought it was a flu. He went to the hospital by ambulance on a Sunday night unconscious. Never regained consciousness and died on Thursday. Otherwise pretty healthy guy.

Complications from my crohn's disease. Fistula connected my small and large intestines and had a huge infection. Wound up in the emergency room, on the strongest antibiotics they had, still running 105*F fever. They operated on me with a 102*F fever, which should tell you how severe it was.
Non disease related was a week long case of norovirus. Was shooting out of both ends for the entire time.

A few years ago, I got the flu, it sucked. I wanted to go home and go to bed, but my coworker was already out. I worked through the flu and just as I was starting to get better I got mono from my wife. I had to work through that shit too. Didn't miss a damn day of work either. Coworkers wrote letters to my bosses saying how impressed they where that I worked through that shit and didn't even complain. I didn't even get a "hey thanks for manning up" from my bosses. Shit like that is why I'm looking for a new job.
But I'd do that three times in a row to avoid the HELL I went through when I was 13 and had spinal meningitis. I literally don't remember three days of being in the hospital. It didn't help that my first doc thought it was appendicitis and put me through a near fatal surgery. Fuck that shit!!!

Severe stomach virus for three weeks straight. It was like I was pissing out of my asshole. Thought I was farting but shittited myself in the middle of the night. Shit myself the next day. This was only two years ago so I still went to work every day. But yeah that's the most miserable I've ever been in my whole life.
