Not sure on HSAs, but Walgreens might be the one to take the hit on this in the event of an IRS audit. I know that FSA administrators generally toe the IRS allowable expense line before disbursing money back the individual who contributed to the account.Originally posted by Chili View PostHe's putting the money in the HSA, right? Based on the op, this is the type where you get a debit card with funds pre-loaded. What you are describing is the type that reimburse you. The responsibility is on the guy cheating on his taxes, not the store.
