I think this guys has heard of Suit Supply...Originally posted by Sgt Beavis View PostHave any of you heard of Suit Supply?
They seemed to be a rather popular online suit maker but now they have a brick and mortar store in Dallas. Suits are full canvassed.. seem rather nice online.. I may check them out this weekend to see how good they are.
Discover our wedding, formal suits, tuxedos, and custom suits crafted from premium Italian fabrics. Shop In-Store or Online.
I'm not in a rush. I won't 'need' the suit until Oct 1st.

I wasn't clear on some of the terms as its been years since I wore a suit regularly. I actually kinda miss it. I thought this was pretty helpful. http://www.artofmanliness.com/2010/0...nvassed-suits/

I've found that most execs for high tech companies do not wear ties. I may wear one when it is called for. I can rock a tie any day. Grandpa taught me how to tie nearly every tie knot around.Originally posted by mstng86 View PostSuit with no tie seems a bit off. That's just my opinion though.
See Racerguy's comments. Most of these lower priced suits are fused or half canvased.Originally posted by LANTIRN View PostWhy are those three off your list? I know jack shit about suits so I am not giving you shit for exluding them. In fact they are the first ones I would think of. I don't own a suit and probably should buy one some day.
I figure I'll be wearing a suit once or twice a week.. (I'll be buying two or three). I'll also be mixing things up, like wearing the jacket with jeans. I'll be attending conferences quite a bit as well. I'm budgeting for roughly $500 per suit..Originally posted by racrguy View PostHow long are you wanting to keep and wear it? Fused jackets are cheaper, but they don't last as long as a full canvassed suit. Tailoring is a MUST unless you go bespoke (choo choo, mofucka) Stay away from designer names, as their suits will look good, but be shit quality. Brooks Brothers has some pretty nice shit, but it's all more expensive than the 100-150 suits most in here are talking about. There are a ton of small details in a suit that stand out. Tailored or not, a cheap suit will not look or last as well as a nicer suit for a few hundo more. Most of the full canvas suits I've been looking at start in the 4-500 range.

depends on the designer as some contract stuff out to good companies. But yea op, stay away freom anything fused, get at least half canvassed. do the pinch test to determine how a jacket is constructed. if you pinch it and feel a floating canvas in between layers all the way down the chest its fuly canvassed. if it goes halfway its half canvassed. if you feel nothing, its fused. Be carefull with Brooks brothers stuff. some (especially the outlet "346" suits) are fused. after a while this glue comes luuse and the jacket bubles up with air pockets. Like i said the Hickey Freeman mainline stuff is NICE, is fully cvanvased and can be had in your price point. If you can find one with Loro Piana cloth, even better. I have a few and theyre bad ass. Just brush when done wearing between dry cleanings and theyll last forever.Originally posted by racrguy View PostHow long are you wanting to keep and wear it? Meaning the soon to be largest energy services company in the world?Originally posted by Tremor14 View PostIt's Halliburton.
What about those in the finance industry going this route?
What about defense contractors?
Or any other tech industry for that matter.
Do you just look for the first thing you can try to troll on and spill stupidity...or do you ever actually have a point?
