the great thing about vehicles is that it's a pretty predictable value curve...Originally posted by 32vfromhell View PostI havent had a car payment in years, but i just priced out a 2016 Shelby Gt350 and with a nice downpayment and 2.5% it would be around 720/mo. Thats a lot of coin for me, not sure about the DFWM ballers. Maybe next year =/
the longer you wait, the cheaper that 2016 is going to get!
I almost bought a 6.7 Ford recently, but the way things have been going, I may be waiting until the 2017's drop in hopes that prices will take a little dip

I consolidated my toys last year when I got rid of the Z06 and put a ton down on the Raptor with minimal financing and don't plan on ever financing again once this truck is paid off.

Yep. Hate car payments but Dodge hypnotized me and twisted my arm. I was not old enough to participate in the Hemi car days and I was not about to miss this go around!!!

Haven't had one in years and don't want one. Low debt equals low

Dude you're better than that. You weren't driving but if something happened it would be on you just as much as him; maybe not legally but you would live the rest of your life with it.Originally posted by soap View PostFor the Record it wasn't me driving. For the Record it wasn't me driving. I've drank and drove before almost got popped what a DUI so that got me scared straight. If I know I'm driving I'll have 2-3 beers max. Like at a bar or restaurant but never while driving. Only stupid should I do now is going from Mesquite to Richardson on 75. Doing 120-130 the whole way when traffic is clear. And I know eventually I'm going to end up passing a fucking cop car at that speed.Originally posted by Strychnine View PostWell, judging by the drinking and driving road trip pic I'd say there were some bad decisions along the way...

Obviously you're insured as high risk, so what's the curious story behind that?

I'm always wanting something new. Intentions are always to to keep a car long term. Then I find myself at the dealership.

I guess. I assume you're talking about having a warranty?Originally posted by Tremor14 View PostThere's some logic there.
This is my mentality. I've found debt just makes me poor. No debt = no poor. 'Cept for a house payment. Necessary evil I guess.Originally posted by Y2KSilverGT View PostNo car payments here. Money stacks up fast with zero debt

When I bought my Mustang in 2012, I financed it at 0%. I'll borrow Ford's money for free all day long. Why take $27K out of investments earning 15% (at the time). I did put $6000 down, to keep the payments at $360 a month.
I keep my vehicles for 10 years or more, so I do go years at a time with no car payment. I split my miles between my Mustang and my Ranger, so the Mustang is 3.5 years old, and it just cracked 30K miles.
