Sorry for your loss SOAP, sounds like he was a hell of a man that was taken too soon.

Wrong thread? Was Soap's friend Lamar Odon? Because pretty sure Lamar was doing all the shooting.Originally posted by MagnusI was with you until I remembered the tranny. I'd imagine he at least has the money for Bailey Jay.

Definitely a good example as t why it's a bad idea to continue drinking / tailgating well after the games are even done.
I am still waiting for them to announce no more tailgating at all as result of this.

It's up to the individual, it's one thing to try and break up a fight where you may get knocked around. It's another to break it up when you know there is at least one gun. I can only assume he did not want it to escalate into gun shots and lost that bet.
If I understand the new articles, he was shot after being knocked down. What a bitch move on the shooter's part. However, armed or not it likely would not have helped in that situation as it is currently reported (which we know how that goes).
I'm with others in regards to the crowd thing. Once people started always stabbing or shooting each other, I made the decision it is not a bitch move to either 1. Not attend these things...etc or 2. Do a tactical retreat when someone is getting out of hand. With kids I just don't go to things where large crowds are drinking/partying...etc. Fights seem to never be one-on-one and always seem to escalate into something stupid these days.

It's the Stand By Me lesson. Chris Chambers got killed by doing the supposed right thing. Which begs the question, is interfering the right course if it ends you?Originally posted by Ruffdaddy View PostSorry to hear SOAP.
The road to hell is....you know the rest.
It definitely sucks that he was murdered for doing what he thought was the right thing.

Sad deal. I hope karma has her way with the shooter before a jury does. Poor kid won't ever know it's father.
