And ill admit...i do not like beach vacations. I hate sand, i hate saltwater and i hate being in the heat all day unless its on a boat in a lake with some triple hops brewed. The dominican trip was probably the only resort that had me impressed and it was pretty pricey.

We just got back from a weekend in San Diego at Imperial Beach (Pier South Hotel).
Very chill and damn nice and can only imagine what the beach would be like in the summer.

I feel the exact same way about beach vacations. My wife and I considered Mexico, but it's so much easier to hit Vegas and find random shit to do.

Back to the OP's question and everyone recommending Mexico trips to the Yucatan side... I couldn't tell you exactly why but I just don't like that side of Mexico. I would much rather to to the Pacific side - I love the desert/ocean feel and atmosphere in Cabo.

It irritates me that people are judged for not having kids. That isn't right. I'll just say I love my kids and wouldn't trade them for anything. But the travel you two do makes me a little envious. I'd love to be able to travel like that. Maybe that's what my golden years will be for, so long as I'm coherent and able to do anything without pissing myself.
