I should have clarified, auto trans cars take the brunt of wiring issues if you're trying to control it via OEM PCM.Originally posted by NoClassic View Posthttp://www.stangtv.com/tech-stories/...t-sideways197/
It looks like getting the correct outputs to the chassis harness is really not that bad. Power steering kit it available through Ford Performance and a couple other companies.

I stand by this swap being "really involved and not cheap."Originally posted by NoClassic View Posthttp://www.stangtv.com/tech-stories/...t-sideways197/

Already have one of those and daily drove it through college. It sucked watching it get the crap beat out of it in parking lots, even when it works well the A/C can't keep up with a Texas summer, the ride isn't daily driver comfortable, never ending list of things to fix, it would actually cost more than than a newer one... The list could go on.Originally posted by bubbaearl View Postwhy not just buy an early mustang for a daily driver ??
A 10 year old mustang is as close to a classic as I would want in a daily driver.

Sure, I read the article - and I've seen this swap done before. If you think it's a cheap and easy swap, then have at it. The reality is that gauges, air conditioning, power steering, and a few other "nice to haves" are a real pain in the ass to deal with.Originally posted by NoClassic View PostDid you read the article or just look at the pictures?
What you see being done there was not required to get the motor to fit.
Here's some good info: http://s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82094
And if you want to swap the '11+ interior at the same time to simplify the gauges, that can be done too: http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63531
For 99.9999999% of people that want a coyote in an S197 car, it's easier (and cheaper) to just buy one. When the government pays, the government controls.

I agree it would be easier and likely cheaper to just buy one of the newer cars.
I think we have different opinions of what a pain in the ass is when it comes to working on cars. Adapting the systems you listed is pretty much what needs to be dealt with in any street car engine swap.
