Check your price, but if you want it, get it. How about PSY MGNT. lolOriginally posted by Mark Preus View PostIt's a targa with 120,000 miles. The motor was freshened up and has around 9000 on it with a cam exhaust and a chip. On my way to pick it up right now. I will post pics this weekend
Chicks are stupid about cars, I've gotten quite a few compliments on my less than new ride.

When I was a kid 20+ year old sports cars in good shape were classics, but in todays GOTTA HAVE THE NEWEST SHIT NOW NOW NOW world classic is synonymous with "old and busted."Originally posted by AdamLX View PostI think it has more to do with it being an $18,000 1991 Porsche (probably Targa or high mileage Carrera)
It will not be anything like what is listed above.
Same thing as buying a Ferrari Mondial or a 308. You're getting the name and none of what made it good.
I saw an older guy (60+) in a really clean 308 in Garland of all places a couple months back. Not for me, but one in great shape would be a cool weekend cruiser.
I would be more than happy with a 993 or 964 in good shape with great wheels that I could cruise or track on weekends.Originally posted by Trip McNeely View PostEh I disagree. I like those older Porsches. Sure its not brand new and not a turbo, but its still a nice piece of metal IMO, and the guy aint bragging about it or anything claiming to be something its not.
I don't think most people who buy 20 year old Porsches intend on impressing valet drivers or parting velvet ropes in front of "da club."US Politics in three words - Divide and Conquer
