My neighborhood is predominately republican from my observations. And as logical thinking adult, it doesn't matter what party line my neighbors fall in. I am going to make my own decision on how I feel about certain subjects.
I think what you are insinuating is I must live in a poor black neighborhood simply because I don't have the exact same view as you. Its pretty offensive, but hey, that comes with this site. We haven't crossed paths on this site much and I find it funny you want to make back handed comments as soon as I post something that doesn't fall in line with your views.

1 party will lose a lot of votes if the subject of islamic terrorism is brought up as it should be, and addressed with meaningful action. We can all see why the democrats are avoiding addressing the real issue.

Democratic party panders to the poor and minorities (usually more weak-minded and easy to sway), so that is where a lot of their support comes from.

i dont post alot but i do keep up with the board. i am older than most here as i will be turning 50 next month. i will preface my statement with i am a democrat and i guess in todays world would be considered a yellow dog democrat though i dont vote party line, yet... i have always enjoyed your post and understand we differ on some political beliefs but this quote is something i have a hard time with. just because a class of people are poor and minorties does not make them weak minded and easy to sway. this country was built on the common man, be they poor, uneducated or minorities. the same kind of generalized statement could be used for the republican party pandering to the tea party and their beliefs. just because individuals do not fall within a certain demographic does not mean they are hapless when it comes to policital beliefs.

My problem with modern Democratic politics is the tendency to buy votes with other peoples money. I think what denny is getting at is that its cheaper to buy the votes of the poor, and they typically dont think deeply enough to realize what theyre doing by voting for the first handouts.

I'll give you credit. Takes some stones to admit you're a democrat in this crowd.

That said, why are all these cities that have been in democrat control for YEARS in the shitter (Chicago, Baltimore, Ferguson are the top ones that come to mind) What have the democrats done other than take more and more and turn these cities into hell on earth. Completely dis-functional schools and local goverments.
What are some examples of what you think the democrats have done well ?
