Fuck yes, where are you? I am getting a CEL that reads p2187, System too Lean at Idle, Bank 1. From what I can tell online this could possibly be anything from a dirty maf, a bad pcv valve, dirty injectors, etc.... There are no drivability issues with it YET but I want to fix it.Originally posted by NoClassic View PostWhat is the problem? I have the VAGCOM interface if you want to use it.Last edited by inline 6; 01-31-2016, 08:13 PM.

This is where I am leaning but it would be nice to have a little more educated of a guess from someone who is very knowledgeable about these cars. I hate just throwing money at problems. How sure are you? Or are you just correcting my typo?

I read that online but am not sure what it means. I pulled the oil filler cap at idle and it is drawing some serious air and it immediately runs like shit. What does that mean though?Originally posted by NoClassic View PostWhen found in the NAR 2.0T (BPY) check RVUTB: 01-09-03 or 2018919 for updated Crankcase Breather Valve
If the breather valve is faulty, full engine vacuum is typically found when removing the oil cap at idle.

It sounds like those motors have had multiple revisions to their PCV system. If they are doing that I would look there first.
Check the PCV valve to see if you have the latest revision. It should have a part number ending in E or AC.
The extreme vacuum with the oil cap removed is a result of the PCV diaphragm tearing.
