I have yet to hear one of these speakers sound better than the charge/charge2. Louder maybe but nothing even close to the quality of sound.

I agree, i'm a JBL believer and the Flips sound quality is great. If you lodge it against something the bass really comes through even more...

The charge 2+ has a bigger battery, water proof and is the newest model. The Charge 2 is last years model.

Lol, when my 7 year old takes a shower she puts the speaker in the bath tub so she can rock out while she showers. Bass gets down right impressive.

I've got the JBL Flip, works great for the office or when cooking out on the patio. I've also taken out to the boat dock and it jams pretty good for what it is. No wires, decent sound and the charge lasts pretty good.

Got my mom the JBL flip 2. Little bastard is LOUD for being the size of a coke can. She loves it, only complaint is the battery life on it.

I use a Lifejacket made by Lansing...can throw it in the pool when needed and has ok sound.

I built one of those .50 cal ammo can blue tooth speakers. Depending on what battery you put in them it will run forever before needing a recharge and can even charge your phone / tablet.
