  • New Simadre or old Blue Point Plasma cutter?

My dad is looking to buy a plasma cutter. He found a Blue Point YA2225 for $200, but he also saw a new Simadre online in the same price range.

Have any of you had experience with either brand, and what do you all recommend?

I have no experience with either but I have owned cheap plasma cutters before and they are pretty terrible for anything beyond sheet metal. I just recently bought a Miller Spectrum 875 and you could cut a car in half with it fairly easily, we had it set to 30 amps and it would blow through several layers of sheet metal almost as soon as you fired it off.
