They have been for several years. Benefits? What benefits? It would cost me almost $1000 month to insure my family AND I still wouldn't have a co-pay-that only gets me a 'benefit' of having to pay 30% of total medical bills.Originally posted by DOHCTR View PostWhy haven't pay and benefits been slashed across the board sooner?

I work for AISD as well. I am hoping that I will be safe, but I am not sure yet. My sister is a teacher at the same school I am at, and she may be cut too. This is her third year, so technically she will be a probationary teacher when they make a decision. It is only going to get worse I am afraid.

Clearly it is, and now it's depression time.Originally posted by ram57ta View PostI wouldn't worry because Obama said the recession is over.“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods".
