Is there a decent FM radio station in DFW?

89.3 something different every couple of hours. AM drive time is the "Morning blend" Mix of some 60 different formats. Wed am w/David Pippin in interesting, to say the least. Real country 4-6 pm, blues 6-8. And of course, CajunZydeco on Monday night 8-10 Good Shit. www.knon.org

Isn't The Ticket sports talk radio? Who can listen to sports all. damn. day?

I'm not a huge sports fan and I still listen to the ticket most of the day. Lots of good non sports content especially on the morning show.

Best $$$ I have ever spent was on my Sirius/XM subscription. Most big rigs come with an XM radio in them nowadays, and it makes running the highways so much easier.
80s on 8, 90s on 9, Pop2k, Lithium, Octane, Ozzy's Boneyard, Hair Nation, Liquid Metal, Prime Country, the best 5 comedy channels, ESPN Radio, NFL/NCAA/MLB/NHL/NASCAR radio, and damn near every ballgame or race. WELL worth the subscription price.

Whats this FM you speak of? XM radio all music. Worth every penny. They about give trial subscriptions away. after that tell them you are going to cancel and they give you a good deal for signing up.

You can work them over pretty good. I recently sold my car with XM so I called to cancel. They tried to get me to buy new portable unit for another car for $79. Nope, then offered it free but pay for shipping. Nope, then said Free fifty free and threw in 6 months of subscription for $30. I ended getting a portable unit instead of car unit so I can use in the garage or camping

I love the ticket but since moving to Midlothian signal sucks. I'm only 40 miles from Flowermound where signal originates and claims to have 57 mile range per list someone posted. I don't know why they can't put tower on 'radio hill' in Cedar Hill

Sirius listener here since 2005, Octane mainly with some Ozzy's boneyard and HairNation. Even when I rent a car I get the Sirius XM upgrade, fuck radio!

Does your car have a stubby or sharkfin antenna vs a traditional long one? That could explain the lack in performance.

Yeah, I think that is probably the biggest problem. I've often wondered what it would take to start-up a privately operated radio station. I think it would be cool to get licensing and play short classic movie clips/quotes between songs or perhaps after every commercial.

I'm sure it would have to be a good balance between music and commercial play, but I wonder if it would even be possible to survive with corp giants like Clear Channel in the mix....doubtful.

Clearchannel was/is garbage imo. Or iheartmedia, whatever the hell they've changed their name to. Probably because they were generally looked upon with disfavor. As for the bolded part, I remember what that was commonplace, and I miss it. It was nice, and its too bad nobody does that anymore.

I don't have a favorite radio station so I don't have anything preset. I just turn the file till I find something that sounds good. Sometimes it's 104.9!!

I invision gangster camel music videos on that station.. very nice!!

Ted McKay is cool to listen to and getting the LED out at night on 9.25 is decent.

94.5 is great when it's not baby making music.
