Hello from Harlingen everyone. I'm down here for a SILC meeting and there is absolutely nothing down here. I mean, the town is bigger than I thought and my room is freaking huge but it smells like mildew. I wasn't sure what to expect so I brought enough firepower to drop a Mexican militia...you know.....just in case.

My crazy nana lived down there so I spent every summer there well into my late teens. I also went to the school by the airport for a year and spent my spare time helping out at the Confederate Air Force next door. The fishing in the irrigation canals is pretty good from what I remember. It is a bit over 500 miles but I would not go down there without knowing someone there. 17 has been legal in TX for quite a few years. At 18 the girls in the Colonias are on their 3rd child and are over the hill.
