With all the threads that have been going on, it may have already been addressed..but when the "other" site went down for a while last week...could it have been because of the sale? Just curious.

It's very possible that was due to a migration of the site from one host to another. And the process of unlocking the domain and transferring ownership. So, in short. The answer is yes.
