I watched my pops shoot a phone book as a kid with a 44 mag, he was shocked when it didn't go through. I shot a set of construction prints that were nearly as thick as a phone book with a sub sonic 22 round, the one with the long lead bullet and short brass. I was shocked when it cut right through.
