The afore mentioned 7/11 in Coppell is out of gas.

Another coworker just came in and said he saw people getting in fights over who was in line first at a station he stopped at on his way to work.

All of the stations in Carl's Corner and in Italy have gas and no lines.

As gas prices spike across Texas and fuel runs short at some gas stations officials say there's no shortage of fuel in the state because of Harvey.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to gas prices. It took at least 10 years for them to come down after Katrina.

I have 9 trucks that use about 21 gallons of fuel each per week so I will have some empty cans soon. Someone should load them up and head to OK to fill them.

People have lost their minds today. Fucking fuel smurfers now? It's been a mess out there all day, luckily I filled up early but.....tomorrow? Doesn't look good at all.

Yep. You used to be able to get surplus cans for 6-8 bucks apiece retail and I bought thousands of them wholesale. Once they became illegal in 2007 I started selling them on ebay but kept some to store enough fuel to sustain my business if we have another gas crunch. I have lived through 2 of them in my life so far. I have more full ones stashed at a shop out at my mom's house. Pure gas stored in metal cans does not go bad and I filled them when the prices were low so I have about 12-15 dollars total tied up in each can.

You don't keep a couple years worth of gasoline sitting around at all time?

I have driven past at least 30 gas stations in the last two hours and most are out of gas. I may have seen 5 stations that still have gas and by the lines they had it won't last long. Looks like nobody is going to have gas for the holiday weekend.

IT's crazy. The shell on 635 & Royal is crazy. The shell on 121 & Bethel is out of regular.

just got back last night from Houston. It was crazy down there, thousands of boats on the road and in the water trying to help wherever they could.

Nick and I bought a 14 ft jon boat Monday and headed down to do what we could. The online circus, and Zello apps were a joke honestly. A lot of misinformation was going out, we were told multiple times not to come out to Kingwood, Baytown, or Port Arthur because our boat was too small. We helped a few families yesterday get back to their houses, and ran some supplies to some folks. On our way back to Dallas, we talked with a bunch of people who were in Port Arthur who told us that's where we should have been, because they needed the small flat bottom boats to get into the neighborhoods. I wish we had known.

I'll upload some pictures in a few minutes.
