Call Kevin at Meador. I have bought four cars from him, easiest and best deals I have done. Even before the lockdowns I did 99% over phone, email, text. Drove out there, signed papers, handed me keys and I drove off, never more than 30 minutes.Originally posted by ryuu View PostThanks good to know it's not BS, wish the dealer site had that info, they don't even have it in small print.

Very nice truck. Welcome to the RAM family. My truck is now 8 years old. Bought it new at Huffines Dodge Lewisville. Only oil changes and 1 battery replacement. Flawless. And it's bagged.Originally posted by Cobraman View Post

Dealerships jumped pretty quick to start throwing out discounts. I'm wondering what their world is going to look like in a few months when they are still slow?
We looked at trading the chick's Yukon in on a 4runner, but apparently Toyota isn't hurting bad enough, so we'll just keep rolling it.

Mine came from huffines too! I’ve never been a ram guy but I’ll be damned if this truck doesn’t blow ford and GM out of the water. It is phenomenal in every aspect - great power, great 10 speed transmission, phenomenal saddle leather interior and sound system, and QUIET. No clunky suspension at all.Originally posted by LS1Goat View PostVery nice truck. Welcome to the RAM family. My truck is now 8 years old. Bought it new at Huffines Dodge Lewisville. Put $5 into a Penfed account or setup a USAA account, there is at least another $500 rebate for being a member of either. It's stackable with whatever else they have to offer. You have to figure out which is better for you, their free financing or paying 2-3% somewhere else and using the maximum rebates. Or do neither and buy one used with warranty left, Grand Cherokees don't really hold their value at all.Originally posted by ryuu View PostThanks good to know it's not BS, wish the dealer site had that info, they don't even have it in small print.

Dealers are sitting on tons of Wrangler and Gladiator inventory. You can't get a V-8 in them and the interiors aren't nearly as nice but they hold their value much better and if you ever plan on actually going off-road there isn't really any better option.

Sound advice here. My 12 Rubicon is worth close to the same as my 15 Tahoe thats 4wd/loaded. Both have 100k miles.Originally posted by BP View PostPut $5 into a Penfed account or setup a USAA account, there is at least another $500 rebate for being a member of either. Looks like I'm stuck with my Mustang, and was hoping to trade in the X4 this summer, also now on hold. Along with trying to sell and buy a house, this sucks a pink doorknob.Originally posted by mardyn View PostI'd kinda' like to have a new RST Z71 Chevy but I'm not sure what to do with my current '04 Z71 that's been with me since new...
trade in value, I'm sure would be insulting to my senses.

If you want a new truck, sell your current one on a by owner, the stealership will fuck you.Originally posted by mardyn View Post

Used trucks are getting top dollar.
I just moved from Melissa and it sucks up there. Lots of renters and I'm sure there are more now. Only store is Dollar General and Sonic, Marias mexican restaurant (yuk). You have to go to McKinney for everything and most of the restaurants there have hire people from Anna/Princeton/country folks that don't give a fuck. Did I mention the taxes to live there are on Par with Allen and Frisco and it's neither...Originally posted by mardyn View PostYeah, we've got a house deal going (for our daughter) in McKinney(selling) and buying one in Melissa right now and it's all kinda' scary.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

RM... agreed on the truck sale as I'm sure the dealer would try and get it on the cheap since it so old now. I'm trying to keep it for twenty years as it was purchased new in 2003... I'm getting closer everyday.
Daughter's husband (SiL) is a coach with at Melissa ISD.... family has outgrown the home in McKinney hence the move Northward.
Hopefully their experience will differ from y'all's...
