I work in a large computer company doing IT work.
Also, i will be opening my own IT company on the side. Data/voice cabling and computer infrastructure stuff mainly for medical/dental offices. but can accommodate homes or other businesses.

Wouldn't make much, if any. I'm a mechanical engineering major at UNT. I'm throwing in the towel with that major for now. Unless you don't have a job/friends and can load up on courses through the regular semesters, winter minimester, and summer minimesters, you might be able to do it in 3-4 years. If you actually want to "enjoy" engineering as your major, you need to take it a little slower, because you'll get burned out. I work at Bankston Collision Center in Addison, and do my pinstriping on the side.
I also have access to a Bridgeport mill and an 18x60 lathe. MIG and TIG welders as well. Need something machined or welded, we could take care of it.
