You don't have to go somewhere if they had a sign on the door that said "Not a smoke free establishment". You also don't have to work there.

Simple fact is this. If smokers would be more courteous it wouldn't come down to this. Non smokers are expected to respect the fact that smokers smoke, but smokers aren't in turn, expected to respect the clean air request of non smokers. So I say fuck those greedy bastards. Go stink up your own space.

I think this is something that should be up to the owner... why should anyone else have a say about what they allow in their establishment?

you might have regulars who like to smoke and when a city puts out a smoking ban they could risk losing some of their clientele.

When I go out I prefer to go to Addison b/c I can smoke. For me smoking and drinking go hand in hand

I have to say, poll results thus far have surprised me.

I figured you were smarter than to use some dumbass poll as "proof" or "evidence" as to what people want. Polls can be done to show any side, of any argument. They hold no water at all. It's all about their sampling.

If I'm going to a place that I KNOW is a smoking establishment, and I choose to go anyway, I don't bitch because it's a place I decided to be.
