Let's play devil's advocate, Dana. Let's say your friend gets enough to pay her taxes after legal fees, and you get 30% of said remainder. How does she then have enough to pay said taxes. Let's also pretend that it was Chris paying your friend $11400 or whatever amount a month, and not the estate, and you somehow convince a judge he should pay for two more years. What happens when that money runs out? It's hard to believe she'll make $274,000 last, when almost $1.5mm didn't. So what then? Go after him for more? Do you not see how this obsession with getting others to underwrite your existence hinders you from making your life hold any real meaning? I'm not talking about money. I'm talking about making your life about more than what material possessions you can acquire.
