Tornado Chasers?

My daughter is studying meterology at OU and shes an avid storm chaser. They have a beater 2000 expedition to chase in.

Here's what they caught on march 18th

That was cool....good view, no rain to mask it, good distance for safety, and looked to be over a fairly rural area so hopefully it did no significant damage.

Looking at the radar and it looks like we might get a third wave here in a few minutes from the south. I think I might give my dog some benadryl.

Great shot of the Montgomery damage. Chased a little bit yesterday locally but didnt get to much. Got a couple pictures i'll put up here in a bit. Thought about going further south but just wasnt plausible with work schedule, etc.

I went out yesterday. My fiance and I are SkyWarn spotters/chasers. I'm only running CB at the moment. Haven't got into HAM yet. Saw a great wall cloud and some good rotation around McKinney but the Echo top was to low for a good funnel. I'll try to post pictures tonight. You're welcome to ride along and if you're a good navigator, I need one.

Apparently there was a baby tornado that went through the trailerhood about 5 miles north of my parents house a couple nights ago. The news is saying it was 115mph winds.

Sat though about an hour of it and it's all pretty much HAM operations and the radar and weather software they recommend. I left. lol

Thanks yall! We were on 10 hour patrol shifts on our days off so I figured I might as well take some close up shots of the damage.

MikeB, thats pretty cool. I've thought about studying Meteorology, just wish they had some local schools that offered such a program. Seems the closest ones are in OK or A&M
