Don't forget to change them. Can make a huge difference in your electric bills. Just took mine out since November and was caked in dust.

November? You're supposed to change them every 30 days. lolOriginally posted by GT Fanatic View PostDon't forget to change them. Can make a huge difference in your electric bills. I dont see how it makes a difference, if its caked in dust after 30 days then obviously its catching the dust. Why would a better filter not get caked in dust also unless it was letting it all through?Originally posted by Ruffdaddy View PostLola @ 30 days...it depends on the filter. 30 is maybe right for a dirt cheap glass floss

I use the allergen Filtretes, and still change them every 30 days, and they are always dirty when I change them. I have a dog though, so in addition to dust/dirt there is pet dander, etc.Originally posted by Ruffdaddy View PostLola @ 30 days...it depends on the filter. 30 is maybe right for a dirt cheap glass flossOriginally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I use the filtrete one's as well and when I forget to change mine monthly, I see it in my electric bill. Just because it says it's a 3month filter, doesn't mean it shouldn't be changed out sooner in some cases. Mine takes the 20x25 filter and I HAVE to change mine every 30 days.
