Got thru the worst traffic in my life in austin

Everyone coming back from Spring Break and SXSW. That sucks-we had no traffic all the way back from California.

Because all the wise folks were headed the other direction! I'd be afraid to go to Cali, because I'd never come back.

Hell, half of fucking Austin is hipsters. I was down there a few weeks ago and felt like I forgot to wear my flannel shirt.

Not really. It would seem that way if you're visiting and you stick to the downtown/campus area.

Also, chances are, if you find yourself surrounded by hipsters, there's a good chance you might be one.

I went to an Against Me show at Emo's a few weeks ago. Surrounded by hipsters. Granted, I knew what environment I was getting in to prior to doing so.

my parents came down for a visit this weekend and i advised my dad to not take 35...

i told him to take US281 from here all the way to Hamilton and then take 22 and another connecting road to cleburne.

he said it was smooth sailing the entire way.

I love going downtown to point and laugh at all the hipsters/hippies.

I also love watching Portlandia now. They could easily have made this show about Austin.

One of my roommates is semi-hipster and I constantly give her shit about it. It's really fun. She has hipster tastes but isn't self-righteous like hipsters are.
