Trolleys are very cool and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is cheap and reliable. When you go across the Bay Bridge, stop and take a picture of SanFran, its captivating. I have to tell you though, you will not want to come back.

I'm staying near Market & Montgomery streets. I have a rental car so getting around any long distances isn't an issue.

You are staying in my hood; bring a jacket. I'm surprised nobody ever mentions Twin Peaks. If it isn't foggy, definitely hit it up. On your drive to Sonoma, set aside an hour and take the first right exit after you cross the Golden Gate and drive into Marin Headlands. It's beautiful country...be sure and stop at the light house.

I was there for about a week and let me tell you, I didn't want to come back to this shithole! Don't get me wrong I was born in Dallas Texas and I love it here, but that place is beautiful, the entire area and up north through the vineyards in Sonoma, the coastline, in and around Martinez, I left my heart in San Francisco...

Should be interesting! I was in Newport and Laguna Beach for a while last summer and it's hard to come back here. Aside from the politics, that's a great place to be.

I've heard nothing but great things about SF, can't wait. I won't be in until May, which sucks, but at least I can get the planning done.

It's really sad the people feel the need to associate that city for the gay area, which IMO is smaller than the Dallas gay area. Unless you go to that part of the city, you won't see many gays. We went just out of curiosity, I saw some pretty hot bitches...well at least they looked like bitches, lol!
