No offense, but I'd trade straight... Lol I'm a huge split bumper fan and 69/70 stangs are meh unless it says Boss on it...

Not real sure why this is really a hard decision unless that was ur first Stang or somethin...

    Nice looking Camaro + 6.0/T56 + nice suspensioin=money

If the Camaro is something you could drive and not over worry about messing it up that's the way I would go. HOwever that being said I drive the piss out of all my vehicles and have never owned one as nice as either of the two. Good luck man they are both beautiful cars, I don't think you could make a bad decision.

A plus for this Camaro is that one of the first cars I ever restored was a 70.5 RS that I owned for several years from my late teens into my 20's.....so I've been around the block with one before.

    I'm all fucked up!
I'm kinda the same way. I grew up in a family of ford guys, and the old meechanic that tought me most of what I know was the definition of a gm guy. I kinda know both, but tend to lean twards ford.

Oh, and the more I think about it, the more I think you should dump your fastback. It'll put my car up one step higher if yours isn't around

Love the color combo... but "to me" it looks more like it belongs as a rocker stripe!?

As for the trade, I just don't think I could give up the pony - and this Camaro is my second fave of all!

Thanks Dave - that stripe is actually just a 69' Mach stripe that I had made without the gold backing. Just like this.....

A little more info...the "new" owner is also the "old" owner. I turned down an all cash offer that was about equal to this one, but I'm trying to be a good friend on this deal...and I do like that Camaro.

Sell the Camaro and add the cash to build the next one even more killer.
More like a $2500 motor (it's a stock 08' 6.0 w/L92's on it), and a lot you don't know about my car....I know you haven't seen it in-person....but you know my buddy McMill, just ask him. It's a fair deal for both sides...not a smoking deal for either of us, but something we both (as friends) think is fair. Put it this way....he paid $20K for the Camaro at the start of the year and I just turned down a $35K cash offer ~2 weeks ago.

Your mustang is spectacular, I dig the hell out of it. I am not a fan of the stripe at all, but to each their own.

The only camaro I would be intÉrested in is a true split bumper, like the one above. That's a pretty tough call either way, but I think I might do it. Lots of cash and an ls/6spd would make that car.

It has really nice paint on it, currently has an aluminum headed SBC in it (prob ~400hp) with a built Th350, and the bigger 10-bolt out back with a 3.73 posi. Has nice interior with Corbeau seats up front, original AC car with all power...including power windows, which was still a rare option on those cars, and the suspension is very well sorted...quick ratio box, big sway bars, QA1 coilovers, etc.

What I will say is that it drives WAY better on the street than the Mustang. However, to be clear...the difference is that my Mustang is just very raw feeling....manual steering, really stiff clutch (it's a converted pull cable like a fox car), and also manual brakes....even though they are Baers and it stops really well, they still require some foot effort....the Mustang is kind of like driving a road car around on the street....very stiff and manual feeling. However, I'm fairly certain it would stomp the shit out of this Camaro in a straight line run....but then again, this Camaro would out handle the Mustang no-doubt. All the while being a one-handed driver with quick ratio PS, good PB, and a MUCH better ride. With a 6.0 and T56 in it, I know it will be an awesome driver. That is also what is appealing to me....I'm really getting more into road course stuff, and the Mustang is a little too nice to risk, but this car on the other hand....I'd have no problem taking out some cones while sliding backwards off of an apex.

For the guy that mentioned so many of these cars on pro-touring.com....I really couldn't care less about what that bunch of tools thinks, but then again, there is also a reason you see so many second gen Camaros and Firebirds being built into G-machines....the same reason I wouldn't mind owning another one.

I don't like the red stripe, but I say stick with the Mustang. Don't get me wrong, the camaro is cool, but I'd keep the stang.

It really boils down to personal preference, if you feel nostalgic about the camaro, then it might be a good opportunity to re-live a little, and make some cash.
