Fuck....I'm 34, time just keeps stacking up and years dissappear.
And another one, this guy decided to clear his thinking skeet style.

Looking back is what starts to twist my head, especially considering that the 'new' music I was immersed in is now ~20 years old.

I am just a "Die Hard" Rock and Heavy Metal guy. When I first heard AIC, Nirvana etc...it just intrigued me because of the sounds and tones that they incorporated. I just enjoy the music. Slower...but hard and heavy.

I still have it somewhere.
Grunge hit at the perfect age/time in my life and I think did a great job of expressing the feelings of a generation, still does. It is just something Gen X identifies with. My choice in new music really started to taper off after 2000.

There's some seriously good music getting tossed around in this thread. I can't believe it's been 9 years since Layne's passing.Originally posted by VertnutI'd run my junk through a waffle iron, if it makes you more "comfortable". LOL!

I grew up in the 80s, had the long hair etc. Loved that time period, it was fun.
I didn't take well to the whole grundge thing when it came. I like AIC and thought they were good but I hated Nirvana, Pear Jam and all the others. To this day there isn't a single song by either of those bands I can stand.
As the 80s metal died off and grundge took it's place I just went deeper into heavier metal, Slayer, Carcass, Deicide etc.
I still think it's a shame the toll the drugs took on Layne. It's really sad that he died in ragged ass apartment and was dead for two weeks before anyone even found him.

I like Pearl Jam, but feel the same way about them. After awhile you just get convinced that Eddie Vedder is a whiney little bitch who is still angry at his parents.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
