Why isn't the silent generation changed to the greatest generation?

Greatest Generation was 1901-1924. I doubt we've got any members that old, but as The King pointed out Mild Bill does post here, so who knows?

Probably more of a Y being that late. I've read many sources that say X ends in 1980.

It is kind of odd then. Generally you would think you would fall under the same generation as your siblings. My sis is a gen x, but we are only 6 years removed.
