Tonight I can start sorting things for sale and tomorrow I get to see some old friends from junior high that have all since married and formed a rock band amongst the husbands LOL After that I'm going to crash a bday soirre in Arlington and then call it a late night. Sleep in and catch the late sunday morning service, pickup kids and perhaps venture over to six flags for an afternoon

I don't have my AMA membership so we are only flying in small parks and we are flying our foam park flyers. We just came back, and I'm telling you, a 55" wingspan light weight foam plane is a bitch to fly in 20 mph+ winds.Originally posted by LaserSVT View PostOh! What kind of planes? I need a new P-51 fuselage since my old one stuck in the ground at over 130 MPH. Right now I only have a tiny Cub and it cant fly if the wind is over 5 mph...... well it can fly but it wont come back. LOL
Anywho, my plans are driving to Frisco and meeting some friends at 3rd Base and trading my supercharged Mark VIII for two other Mark VIIIs
I sold all of my glow- powered planes when we moved to the piney woods ten years ago. I had some go-fast planes, but preferred my acrobatic craptastic stuff.

I love my foamies. I have a Parkzone P-51 Gunfighter (currently in a 100 pieces) and a Parkzone Corsair. Unfortunatly the Corsair also needs some work. After the P-51 flew out of its tail feathers I decided to try the hot brushless and 60amp controller into the Corsair. Tried some high speed manuvers and from 1/8th mile away I heard both wings crack before they folded up. That was a pretty spectacular crash too.Originally posted by stevo View PostI don't have my AMA membership so we are only flying in small parks and we are flying our foam park flyers. Gonna go back to sub 100 mph power setups so I stop breaking the damn things. LOL!Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

I ended up pulling the hinges loose on my Easy Star clone earlier, barely got it down with no up elevator or left rudder. Tall grass FTW.
I'm building a clipped wing Ugly Stick that I am going to power with a brush-less setup and LiPos, haven't picked the powertrain out yet though. I'm totally new to brushless. I miss my old one with an O.S. .46.

Couple 40c discharge lipos at 2200mah
130 amp watt meter
Turnigy C3536 motor, thats the hot one that will send a 42" plane to over 130 MPH with a 9x6 speed prop (800+ watts)
Plush 60amb ESC
And a sweet 1100kv sport motor in the box still
High amp and high speed Li-po charger (1-6s)
Several high tq mini servos and a digital mini and a Spektrum 6100e RX
Whole setup whole assortment of props, some new some used.
Id sell it all for $275, thats over $600 in stuff.
The Turnigy setup in my P-51 was radar'd at 133mph 10 seconds before the tail feather pulled off and it went into a nose dive planting the nose 4" into the ground. LOL
No electronics issues though. Motor has been retested and shows its working perfect. Ill even be in Dallas Sunday.Last edited by LaserSVT; 04-08-2011, 07:26 PM.Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
