I got the same thing. I always thought the parenthesis had to be worked first, then left to right. Been a while since school...

This is what I didn't do at first glance... I figured "hey, I'm already right here might as well multiply".

Nevermind... I'm dumb - 288 is what I should have clicked. 42 is still correct.
