4x10hr days vs. 5x8 hr days?

40 hours a week is weak

Work 7 x 12s, 16 weeks on 3 off. That is were the fun is. 2.88 weeks (20.40 days) to go till I get some free time.

Same here, 7 x 12s and college full time at night (online). I opt to go on vacation once a year though. 94 days until my next vacation.

I have never had a 40 hour work week.

Haven't had one in 8 years. I love my job, but the downside is there is always an emergency, and I have a company phone for a reason. I get chewed out if my boss calls at 3 am and I don't pick up.

I used to work 3 12's one week and 4 the next. Loved it. So much free time to get shit done.

This is what we work kind of. I will never go back to 8 hour days again. Oh and to the OP 4x10.

Lucky basterd. I'm stuck on a 5x10 with when need half saturday. I would do 4x10 without being told twice.

the additional traffic caused by leaving at 5p vs 4p

I know in my experiance the traffic difference at 6am vs 7:30 am would mean more to me than the 5p vs. 4p traffic...

Throw in a sick day or vacation day and it's on 3, off for 4!
