I have most of the parts already, just need to flush it, bolt it all up, make a small bracket for the tensioner, and vac/charge it. Got to get the pertronix in and change plugs first.

            Because they're totally worth it!

You didn't ask for opinions, but I might also add some kind of '70 Mach 1 hood treatment to break up the white a bit.

Car is badass dude. Glad that you're finally enjoying it after building it up for so long.

Im on the fence as far as anything on the hood. On one hand, I love the simple long hood, and on the other, it looks too long and needs something. The shaker option would be the simple choice to make, cause its baddass, but I dont drive trains, and dont have any cowskin rugs to pawn.

Hell the inside of the hood has the reinforcements going around the shaker's spot from the factory.

One of the simple Mach 1 hood scoops (non-shaker) in low-gloss black and a chin spoiler would change the look tremendously. Most of the scoops are not really functional, but can be pretty easily. The blinker harness is already in the car, so the blinkers on the back of the scoop can also work.

Thats what im going for with my '70. Aside from all the graphics. I've got a cleveland headed 302/t5 im putting together for it. Gonna have the slammed front/side dumped exhaust/splitter.

You can get a lot of information on suspension upgrades and brake upgrades from here:

I'm just going to follow what the vintage racers are doing and aim for an old trans-am style setup

I got to see a pair of 65 fastbacks a guy is building out in the woods of Alabama this past weekend, gave me more inspiration to keep working on my car.

Those damn minilite wheels or any minillite knock offs are $$$$. They want a grand for each wheel. I think im gonna search out an older set of the torque thrusts.

Im pretty happy with the handling of mine even before we do a shelby drop. Just adding good shocks, springs and sway bar made a huge difference.

how much does PS Engineering want for their minilite style wheel? I've been wanting a set for my Cougar for a long time, but I don't drive a train so I will have to wait.

I kinda wish I would have bought this kit, and may still do it at some point. It was about a grand more when I was looking at it way back when.
