    ^^Serious question
That is pretty subjective. I would say more than half. There is a theory that Lemons expects you to cheat, but to hide it, etc. I wont say we havent spent more than $500 on a car/build, but we tend to be very close on to that number. There is so much that is exempt (tires, wheels, brakes, hubs, ball joints, guages, seats etc) that you have to really have to want to cheat to do anything crazy.

EX: we havent ever done anything other than a set of used ebay springs to our miata as far as performance wise goes. We've done a clutch and used transmission once, and motor mounts and such along the way. The judges dont really care that you replaced the motor mounts, suspension bushings, etc for the most part. They arent going to ding you for swapping out your worn rubber control arm bushings with polys (we are about to on the fairmont with thier blessings) but they dont want to see an aftermarket coil over setup. We havent ever been able to get "correct" timing out of the miata, so we decided to let someone look at it for us. The timing was off a tooth on the crank, so the cams were actually set retarded from what they should have been. We paid for that, but that is the first time we have paid for anything but an allignment.

One of the top winning cars had an 8k endurance motor built for it, and went under the radar until one of the judges happend to have an engine built by the same shop, and the shop was bragging that thier $8k endurance motor was winning lemons every race.

Don likes Festivas, what if he had five BMW's and one of them had a flat. Not his fault he picked up a nail.

It's just the oiling properties of the engine itself. The B-series Mazda are tough as hell and have all kinds of trick little parts. The Escort GT motor I just rebuilt has piston oil squirters and restrictors in the block drain. Great endurance track motors.

B16's have windage trays and oil squiters too. How much power can a mazda B handle?

doesnt matter what kind of cars, taking up 5 or 6 prime parking spots in an apartment complex (which probably has shitty parking already) would piss most anyone off.

The yellow and white one? That was one of my favorite cars out there. Doesn't bother me too much it was fun to watch and race with.

That is Troy's car, and no it isnt a checkbook built car, Troy turned every nut an bolt on it. His driver blacked out and slammed into the wall at MSR coming onto the straight, and ended up in the infield, took nearly an hour for them to get the car pulled out of the standing water it was in so they could put him in an ambulance. It is now totaled.

The Z wrecks was the green Z that had scales half ass painted on with a dragon tail off the back.
