CORRECT. The 16AN fittings you see over there are going to the tranny cooler.

I would have thought you would have got more out of the cooler' core by inlets on one side outlets on the other.

nope. Its a dual pass which cools the core better than tradition style. You should know this. We made your radiator dual pass! lol
