Hell, you can tell by my post count.Originally posted by shumpertdavid View PostI assume that's the first time you've seen his avatar. I admire those anytime I see one of his posts. I'd like to see some better pics of them for sure
Is there anyway to port over my previous stats from the old one.
There is no way Trey has 10,000 posts over here...

Can you rebuild lockers? :POriginally posted by greenbullitt View PostIf a positrac is desired, i wont use an auburn as Ive broke too many of them. And yes, true tracs are high. I like cobra 31 spline carbons for the street and theyre cheap...Ive built a bunch of 31s for people around here...

The auburn was cheap, and the car didn't make much power so I wasn't too worried about it. I've known a couple people to break auburns and newer eaton's.Originally posted by greenbullitt View PostIf a positrac is desired, i wont use an auburn as Ive broke too many of them. Longest post ever
Oh yeah, I forgot they checked the driveshaft rotation.Originally posted by Johnc View PostHe says it has 3.73s in it. That's what michael told him
I had bent an axle and needed it done in a pinch by a shop.Originally posted by greenbullitt View Post1200 sounds really high for a 31 spline
I forgot you guys figured that out, whoops. Even so it's a noticable difference from 3.27 to 3.73. I was planning on slicks and 6,000 RPM drops on the car that had that rear end.Originally posted by ihearturanus View PostThey are 3:73s Trey.
Not 4:10s
I want to do 4:56s but havent really had the money to throw at it.
Also, there is no reason to upgrade the axles, not how we drive them at least.
It won't be MY Caddy for at least a year.Originally posted by Steve View PostLMAO, Trey is on to better things. His Caddy will eat your Mustang for a snack.
Yes, I'm hoping an 09+ will be my next daily.Originally posted by Johnc View Postcts-v?
I kept the same FRPP 3.73s and added Auburn Pro diff, I believe Moser 31 splines, fluid, labor, etc. This was back in September 2003.Originally posted by shumpertdavid View PostDepends on how you go about it, Trutrac, gears, good axles, install kit, fluid, labor; all ads up pretty quick. I did Richmond 4.30's, auburn limitied slip, mosier 28 splines, install kit, and spherical bushings in my 97 when I had it and dropped about 900 in parts iirc
Those cars are amazing, there's really no two ways about it.Originally posted by Steve View PostYeah. I got Trey a test drive in Will's new 09 CTS-V with the LSA motor. Trey couldn't stop grinning afterwards. Hahah.
Then go here.Originally posted by Johnc View Postlook at our join dates

If it's so dumb, and so pointless. Why do people do it?
I was under the impression that torque and mid range power isn't as important when running a steep gear, that's why you delete the imrc plates, or else you'll just burn the tires off.
I'm not talking about making Max power, beating a zo6 or winning a race. Just a n/a build.
With the proper set up, intake and cams how many rpm can the stock bottom end hold up? I know the rods are the weakness for power but what about rpm?
I'm just guessing at 7700-8000rpm, which is ideal.
The 5.0 cammer from ford racing is a bad bitch. 400hp at 8000rpm with 375trq.
You guys said the cams will hold you back, so upgrade the cams, and wind that bitch up!

Because it's expensive to build an N/A 4V the right way and to make "good" power. Much easier/cheaper to go with boost/bottle.Originally posted by 91CoupeMike View PostIf it's so dumb, and so pointless. Why do people do it?
You can do almost anything you want, it's just a matter of how much trouble you want to go to to do something. We had a Mystic on the old board with an LS1 swap. It would have made good power if it ever ran (I don't think it ever did, anyone remember and care to elaborate?).
