Can someone please help me decide what size tire to put on my rear wheels ('08 GT)? I have read soooo many conflicting opinions on the widest size tire that will fit my stock wheels. They're 18x8.

I've searched so much on this that I'm now completely confused. (big surprise, right?)

If you're not going to worry about doing tire rotations then you can go with a bigger tire in the back it you want a wider stance or more traction, I wouldn't go with more than a 245 same with the front so you can tire rotate and get more life out of your tires. If you want bigger tires in the back than in the front then 275 would be OK, you can also run this same size on the front and then you can tire rotate but you will suffer from tire tracking and you will need to get a front end alignment bacause of the bigger tire in the front too.

On my 09 GT I have the same rim size as you, I just replaced the front tires and I went with the same factory tire BFG KDWS they are 235/50/18's and they are $149.00 a peice at Tire Rack, thats the best price and then I have the local vato tire shop install them at about $10.00 a piece, im jewish like that, lol...'Henry

She doesn't rotate her tires anyways, so why stress it? We're keeping the KDWS on front because she likes them, but couldn't find the same tire in 275... though they have the KDW NT. Know anything about them? Also 275/45 or 275/50? Thanks homie(s)

Calm down Francis, you (her) didnt specify rotation thats why I threw it out there, but since you were little more specific now, OK then HI.
275/45/18 is what I would go with, the bigger tire will make up for the wall size. In other words the 50 will probably be too tall compared to the front tire, so I would go with the 45 wall size. Mix matching brands isnt that big of a deal, whats more important is the tire speed, like ZR to SR is a no-no. Though I doubt she spends too much time in mexico doing triple digit speeds...'Henry
