My rear sway bar snapped in the straight section immediately before it bolts in in my 97 cobra. Would it make sense to find another one from a salvage yard or buy a brand new one?

The factory ones are prone to breakage because they are hollow. I have a heavy duty solid one I am not using since I went to all MM stuff if you are interested.Originally posted by robs97snake View PostMy rear sway bar snapped in the straight section immediately before it bolts in in my 97 cobra. It means the ass will move more then the nose, and under hard corners your front end will slide out instead of grip. The weight transfer will be off.Originally posted by robs97snake View Posthah I'm not really sure what exactly this means

The stiffness of the Fox sway bar is much less than that of your stock Cobra sway bar. If you use the fox bar on yours it is going to plow into turns rather than turning in sharply...Originally posted by robs97snake View Posthah I'm not really sure what exactly this means
Understeer is safer (think Toyota Camry or big luxury car) but even your stock sway bar is designed to produce a little understeer. I'd hate to see how it handled with a fox sway bar.
