Anyone know if a 2004 Passat's front and rear disk brakes free floating rotors or hub... Got my brother coming over to fix his grinding brakes. Thanks!

They free float.
No special tools are needed.
You do need a rear caliper retract tool. You can rent a generic one at autozone or o reilly.
All disc brake jobs are easy.Comment

Unless it's like retracting calipers on '94 and up stangs, they actually screw in. If that is the case you can rent the "special tool" at a parts store.'93 Cobra-Coyote Powered
