Consider this, my 3500# TA that I was daily driving, with a 232/234 cam, stock LS6 intake, TB, etc.....ran a 7.1@95 with a 1.55 60' on some old ass BFG drag radials. Why in hell wouldn't this same combo in a 400-500# lighter car, on some good tires not run well into the 6's?
You can't argue with physics......

i'm just going to shut my mouth (which is normally what i try to do when i have nothing positive/beneficial to a post). the whole, "if it doesn't go mid 6's it's not worth the time" thing might have rubbed me wrong or something. i have left some et on the table with my setup by not gutting it and requiring it keep creature comforts (such as a/c, heat, radio, sound deadner, 4 mufflers), efi, etc. i am happy with what it has ran and it's reliability thus far and can't wait to see what it'll do f.i. i'll be the biggest cheerleader for anyone who gets one to go 6.5's or better cam only, i think the ls platform is awesome especially when it is put in the right car.
sorry for stepping on anyone's feet.
