The internals of a T45 are very close in size and design to the T56. The "weak" links are the issues with reverse, the 10 spline input shaft, the stamped steel shift keys and the 3-4 fork. You can dump some $$$ into it and have a decent unit but it won't have any resale value if you ever decide to get rid of it.

Personally I wouldn't waste the money on a T45 but its entirely up to you. I did one for a guy with a 96 Cobra making about 600hp and wanted to keep the car basically all original. It ran him about $1500 when it was all said and done. I did everything I could to it except a input shaft upgrade.Originally posted by Cobraman View PostIdc about resale. I want it to hold up.

Oh ok. I broke the third fork. I went ahead when I installed a new t45 to just put in a new clutch disc as well. Didn't have an alighnment tool so I got creative and stole my old input shaft.Originally posted by greenbullitt View Postthats what theyre supposed to do! its not a t5Full time ninja editor.
