Yeah, I've never used any of their products, I'm sure there are way better options. But I like to shift with a clutch and go slow, so I don't realy have much exp other than some "a guy I know/my friend has" crap.Originally posted by greenbullitt View PostI wouldnt let lentech build a trans for my mower with some things ive seen come from there. Truestreet 5.8 has had an aod into the 5s as well i know..Ded

Thats true but they are going through the transmission on a regular basis. There is a guy with a green coupe that runs mid 8's with Twins and an AOD. I'd like a some what trouble free setup, or as trouble free as you can get.Originally posted by vadertt View PostHe only wants to run 9s, there are multiple builders including lentech that make aods and aodes that can handle that power, some say better than a c4 could. I know of a guy running mid 8s with one and on 17" drs too.-1997 Supra- mid 8 second street car

A 4L80 doesnt either, I'm only considering full manual valve bodies as of now. I've always heard bad shit about 200R4's being reliable at anything over 800hpOriginally posted by Yale View PostWhy not a 2004R? No not specifically the 80e, my discussions were about the different ford overdrive trannys but not really specific to one.Originally posted by Junkie View PostThey said that about the 80e?

I dont really care what power the car makes on a dyno, I care more about how it runs. I've heard that the glide/gv combo is great for holding power but is pretty "clunky". Guess that is still the best option if you want a trans that can hold big power.Vortex rear stand $75
