Sorry for the slow response back to you guys. Air flow is strong through the vents. Heat is barely warm. Not enough to defrost ice on the windshield or anything. It's my sisters truck and she has it the next few days for work. Saturday, I will check the fluid levels and let it run for a hour to see if the temp changes. And make sure the knob isn't stripped.
I swore I subscribed to this when posting and didn't get no emails with responses.
If I do end up flushing out the heater core. Is normal water pressure from the hose enough not to blow the core up?

No you wont damage the core with normal water pressure. Just watch the flow out the other side when you do it. Normally you will hear a pop and/or see some rusty looking water come out the other side when you clear the blockage.Originally posted by GT Fanatic View PostIf I do end up flushing out the heater core. If you have great flow out the other side right off the bat then a blockage isnt your problem.

Like I said above. Just see if both hoses are hot coming out of firewall before you tear it apart.Originally posted by Lason View PostNo you wont damage the core with normal water pressure. You wont blow it up even with a high pressure end. lol. Like my post said. First thing to do is check the level. second turn the temp controller from cold to hot and see if temp changes then back to cold and see if it changes while engine is hot. If nothing then open the hood and see if one hose is cold and other is hot.Originally posted by GT Fanatic View PostIf I do end up flushing out the heater core.
