I've never froze a bottle or heard of it?? What's the purpose? I just now got back into racing been over 5 years.

Freeze the bottle getting filled and heat up the supply bottle and will get better transfer is the theory. Helps the gas transfer easier and get a better fill maybe?

i never did it and wont start. if nx doesnt say to do it then i dont do it. id rather be safe then get another ounce of nitrous or 5 extra hp or something from all that effort.

dynosaur is awesome! they charged me for 3 pulls on the dyno even though i only got one pull because their dyno fucked up. no tq reading either. awesome shop!

That's unfortunate, I just met them they seam ok but good to know they are not perfect.
They are so close to me that I will be getting my bottle filled there for now.

You don't have to freeze the bottles, they only need to be cold. 2 hours in a fridge, freeze, or cooler of ice is all it needs. In order to do the freeze method the bottle also has to empty of nitrous. Then, instead of using a pump, you hook up your bottle to the mother bottle and the gas transfers to your cold bottle like a vacuum. It's been sworn by pro nitrous guys that this method helps keep air out while a pump will still get air in it and thus not being able to get some bottles completely full. Anyone that has used nitrous for any extended period of time has had a bottle that couldn't be filled completely on one occasion but full on a subsequent occasion(whether the shop told them or not is another story). That's how old school nitrous guys filled their bottles. The pump is popular now because we're in a society of "I gotta have it right now".

NX doesn't support the freeze method because they have their own pump station they promote. That would be a stupid business move supporting a fill method that takes money away from your bottom line. However, that doesn't mean "their" method is best or the only method that works.
