There is a driveshaft place right down the road from my house off Hwy10 and Precinct ln. They built mine and a few others around here. There prices are good and so is the quallity.

Inland in denton can build/rebuild a driveshaft. We've had them rebuild, shortened, and to lengthen they basically cut the yokes off each end, machine them down to fit the new tube, weld it all up, and balance the assembly. They can retube to any length needed. But to go larger or smaller diameter you have to have the end yokes to match the tube size.

By lengthening I mean take out the entire tube section and replace it 100% with a new and longer tube.

How would this compare to an aftermarket shaft? I called Inland and they quoted ~150 to re-tube it using my ends/yoke.

You'd have to know wall thickness composition and all that to compare with. Most of my use has been stock applications to mild HP applications. Is expect brooks and othwr high hpguys could give better recommendations on this than me, just throwing them out there

from experience I would just spend the money and get a good drive shaft... when mine broke it messed up more stuff then a good drive shaft would have cost me the first time around...

FTW gear and axle (I have used them)
Inland truck parts off blue mound (brooks has used them)

these are the 2 reputable places that KNEW they had DOM tubing when I asked. You dont cheap on a driveshaft,PERIOD.

I want to say it was about 400 BUT.. that is for EVERYTHING

when the drive shaft broke it tore up EVERYTHING so he put the big u-joints

but I'm sure it would be a lot cheaper since you have those parts already and just need the shaft itself... just tell them its a high power car and to build it bullet proof (thicker wall stuff probably )
