Oh! Nick. It's a real cobra and it's clean inside and out. He works nights mostly. And he works at Autozone. I love his car. Here in a few weeks his rims should come in. He's getting a set of 93 cobras black chromed. Going to look sick.Originally posted by DeddRekoning View PostSome guy that worked at pizza inn on university with a re 93 cobra...may be fake but it looked pretty good

Don't say anything about t being custom, just that you need the spindles out for a 94/5 Mustang. From what I've seen, a lot of the wrecking yards are networked together and it keeps the prices pretty even(within $5-10 of each other) across the board.Originally posted by 91CoupeMike View PostMakes perfect sense. Thank you.
I'm hitting up the salvage yards trying to find parts. Hard finding this stuff without telling them it's custom. I don't feel like paying custom prices because some salvage yard guy wants to be a prick. Lol.
Just curious, what did that set up cost you? Looks like all new parts.
I think the spindles were ~$120 for the pair(they just pulled the spindle and cut the brake line) from a wrecking yard. I actually bought the caliper brackets for a 99 also, but I think the 94/5 brackets are the same.
The calipers were ~$50 each from autozone - returned 95 calipers for the core
. The rotors are the same part# from 95-04 GT/V6 - I don't remember what those cost. The pads are from Autozone too. Depending on the condition of the hub assembly with the spindle, you may want to budget that into the build.
I hit the spindles with a wire brush and some black paint. Painted the calipers with silver caliper paint, since they were different shades of gray out of the box..

I'm starting to round up parts, or try to now. Hopefully I can't get some killer deals and do all this for around 200-300. The rear axles and drums will be the most costly.Originally posted by 71chevellejohn View PostDon't say anything about t being custom, just that you need the spindles out for a 94/5 Mustang. Im wanting to go 5lug for more then brakes. Brakes are a big bonus though. I'm also putting chrome 03/04 cobra wheels on. The last thing I want is a 8inch rotor hiding behind the wheels. It'll look better, stop better And induce hard ons. So I'm down. LolOriginally posted by openroadracer View Posti just use my stock brakes that came on the car with ceramic pads and i am pretty happy.

but seriously, when you get it all done, go with ceramics. you will be most happy.
mine has black 03-04 wheels and the 13 inch rotor looks badass. i'll shoot a pic of it if you want to see it.

I really would love cobra brakes, just kind of expensive for me now. I'll keep the Gt/v6 with ceramic until I go rear disk, then I'll just hold out until I have the funds for cobras. Would look really nice.

I've got the 18s(staggered) that I put on my car for sale. They are practically brand new - 1/2 mile on the tires before I blew it up.
5 spoke chrome.

Mike, on your brake upgrade, first and it might seem strange, is pick the wheel size you are going to run first! Then go about your up-grade. Here is a link...
I did the 44mm twin piston Cobra calipers from the '03 front and the 12 inch rear w/
SN95 axles.
The brackets are the expensive part but, I think Dorman now makes the at a good price.
I still have 5 lug axles and drums left over too.
