That's the same shifter I use, but I use the pro50 short handle. You don't hear much about them, but I really like the B&M over the tri ax.Originally posted by Magnimike1 View PostI put 400 Hp and 500 ft/lbs. through mine with no issues. Launching on drag radials. I enjoy my MGW pretty well. I've never intended on ramrodding it on every shift but it's nice to have it when the spirited urge kicks in or if I decide to take it to the track to make a few passes.Originally posted by MattB View PostThe main secret to making them last is to put a shifter with adjustable stops on it, and have them adjusted correctly!

I've broken them behind a stock 5.0, and road raced behind a mild 302. The later was on I better than stock rebuild, and is one if the better shifting t5's I've had. If I could feasibly use it behind a 4.6 I would."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

X2. I had HCI and nitrous with 230k miles on never rebuilt 302 and t5. Launched it at 5500 on slicks. Sold everything in fine working order when I put.a 351 and c4 in. I shifted it hard but never powershift.Originally posted by Z06killinsbf View PostMine lasted fine behind a nitrous'd HCI street car. I find em, not grind em.2014 GT

Can you recommend such a shifter? I have little experience with them. Do they come with the stops setup properly or do you have to do it?Originally posted by MattB View PostThe main secret to making them last is to put a shifter with adjustable stops on it, and have them adjusted correctly!

That's like asking which cam you should get. Everyone is going to have their opinion and believe they have the best one. There are several quality pieces out on the market. You'll have to either research them all and make a decision or see if you can find a few people with different shifters that will let you drive their car .Originally posted by waycooljr View PostCan you recommend such a shifter? That said, I've had used every shifter on the market and I personally prefer the MGW's shifter.

This, with a different handle. I like the hurst short throw handle personally.Originally posted by Z06killinsbf View PostPro 5.0 hands down.
The Tri ax is a good shifter as well, and I liked the handle. Some retard put another hurst in my car. It had a tri ax when I last owned it.Originally posted by black50 View Postpro 5.0 is good..I perfer the steeda tri-ax2005 M3 Vert with TSW rims
