  • 80k mile heads anything worth doing

I'm going to stick some 80k mile E7's on a cammed 302, they came off a running motor that didn't smoke or make any noise. I dont have any intentions of pulling these after I put them on for a long time so besides valve seals what else is worth changing, springs?

Why stock heads with a.cammed motor? If you don't mind me asking.

Its just what I've got, not trying to set the world on fire. Its just an Ecam

Tough to say but expect some valve float. New springs would be recommended but then you're investing $$ into junk heads. You could always try them as is and add parts later. If it didn't smoke I wouldn't bother tearing em down. If you MUST tear them down, seals, springs and a quick valve lapping and call it done.

They will be fine. Port those bad boys. You can gain some decent power with them.
