I gained 20hp/tq across the board basically with a dot to dot install of the 96 intake cams in my 4V. With them degree'd, it would pick up a bit more in the mid-range. I just installed a Nasty ported lower intake. I need to get to a tuner and have my combo retuned and dyno'd. I was at 330/321 before the lower intake.01 red GT - 745whp/780wtq Whippled 4V and built 4R75W

LMK what the gains/loss's were with the ported intake. If you can get a before and after graph that would be even better.Originally posted by Fastlane View PostI gained 20hp/tq across the board basically with a dot to dot install of the 96 intake cams in my 4V. Here is the sheet with the dot to dot(undegree'd) '96 Cobra Intake cam installed. The car has a JLT CAI, LTs, and Catless H, and MagnaFlow catback as well.
I need to have it tuned since I installed the ported intake.Last edited by Fastlane; 09-21-2016, 09:55 AM.01 red GT - 745whp/780wtq Whippled 4V and built 4R75W

Specs on my cams are "classified" according to Houston Performance. They wont tell me the specs, no matter how hard i try. Without knowing the specs it makes it pretty hard to properly degree the cams like i wanted Paul to do for me.Originally posted by 03shadow4v View PostHow much hp are you making ? And what are the specs on your cams ?
Last full dyno i made like 399.8rwhp at HPP. Did a few mods and made a few changes the car pulled 375rwhp at gearheads...with the dyno run cut short at 6200ish.

How much was the cut/welded intake? How quick was the turnaround from that guy? I really like his work, i just havent ever talked with anyone who has actually worked with him.

I like how everyones cams are top secret... lmfao I'd put a degree wheel on them just to find out what the specs really are then post them up so everyone would know. BTW what intake are you running?Originally posted by 32vfromhell View PostSpecs on my cams are "classified" according to Houston Performance. They wont tell me the specs, no matter how hard i try. I picked it up from a guy on Mach1Registry.com for $300. So it was already cut, ported, and welded back up when I got it. There are a couple of guys doing the porting and such on the board for about $450. Roy, NA_SVT, TMHutch all do porting now. I really want a ported short runner intake but that is going to run about $900 with a core.Originally posted by 32vfromhell View PostHow much was the cut/welded intake? I have heard the turn around on straight porting is about 3-4 weeks.
You should jump on that forum and ask around. There is a ton of great information regarding the intakes on there.01 red GT - 745whp/780wtq Whippled 4V and built 4R75W

God damn, good steal at 300 bones. NA_SVT is who i heard does the best work.
Dan, I have a ported 2001 intake on my car already, but its just ported and probably lightly ported at that. It still is the stock length runners.
Specs on the motor:
5.0L stroker,
10:1 compression
ported/polished 03/cobra heads
valvetrain mods
HP Custom Grind Cams, pretty aggressive.
Ported 2001 Cobra Intake
AFI Balancer
Meziere Electric Water Pump
Hooker SuperComp Headers
JLT Intake
BBK 62mm twin throttle body
1/2 inch intake plenum spacer
old Pro-M 87MM Mass air.
